Gene Allen Refior, 82, passed away May 4, 2024 in Mountain Home, AR. He was born in Nappanee, IN to Everett and Marie Refior. He married Linda Reese, his high school sweetheart, April 7, 1962 in Whitewater, WI. They had two daughters, Kris Boyle and Terri Petitt (Don). He served in the United States Coast Guard for 6 years, then graduated from UW Stout in Menomonie, WI with a teaching degree. He moved his family to Whitewater where he taught Industrial Arts at Whitewater High School for many years. After teaching he was a Postal Carrier for the Whitewater US Post Office until his retirement to Mountain Home, where he enjoyed fishing and was an avid golfer. He is survived by his wife; two daughters; grandchildren, Rachel Scuglik (Aaron) and Zak Petitt (Abby); 3 great-granddaughters; brothers, Paul (Pam), Wendall (Marla); sister, Donna Refior and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and son-in-law, Sid Boyle. He will be missed by many friends and family. Services will be private.

Gene had heart.
Gene took care of his finances.
Gene reached out to others.
Gene's advice was friendly and very helpful.
Gene lived truly and without pretense.
Gene played the big brother to the younger Refior siblings.
Gene worked hard and cared about getting the job done right.
I'll remember Gene well but I will miss him too as will many.

Gene was one of the few I enjoyed playing golf with. I will miss his smile and positive outlook. Who will I have to joke around with about his beloved Packers. I know you are reading this brother, you will be greatly missed.
