Barbara Ann Holland, age 78 of Yellville, passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2007 at Marion County Nursing Home in Yellville. She was a daughter of the late Frank and Alice (Shelton) Wicker and was born on January 25, 1929 in Keya Paha County, Nebraska. She was a retired registered nurse, having kept a current license and worked for the Marion County Hospital during its operation. Barbara was a member of the Marion County Historical Society and a member of the Yellville Assembly of God Church. She married Carl Holland on November 17, 1958 in Georgia.
She is survived by her husband, Carl Holland of Yellville; one son, James Holland and wife Tammy of Scotts Bluff, Nebraska; two daughters, Deborah Parnell and husband Harlin of Flippin, Kathryn Weaver and husband Richard of Cotter; two brothers, Bob Wicker of Yellville, George Wicker of Lac La Biche, Alberta (Canada); one sister, Betty Hennasey of Goshen, Arkansas; three grandchildren, James Layton Holland, Mataya Weaver, Ty Weaver. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be between 6-8 p.m. Friday, July 27 at Burns Funeral Home in Yellville. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 28 at the Heiskill Cemetery near Mountain Home with James Foster and Curley Johnson officiating.
