Mary Hester Dearmore, age 87, of Yellville, passed away on Monday, June 11, 2012 in Baxter Regional Hospital in Mountain Home.
Mary was born in Yellville on January 23, 1925. She was the daughter of the late Robert Fulton and Euna (Doshier) Patterson. Mary was a retired customer service representative for Yelcot Telephone Company. Mary worked as a switchboard operator for Southwest Bell Telephone Company before it became Yelcot Telephone. She married Kenneth “Jack” Dearmore on June 29, 1945. He preceded her in death on January 2, 2002. She was a member of Yellville First United Methodist Church.
Mary is survived by one daughter, Annette Dearmore of Yellville, Arkansas;
three sons: Bill Dearmore and his wife, Tammy, of Yellville; David Dearmore and his wife, JoAnn, of Romance, Arkansas; and Mike Dearmore of Cotter, Arkansas;
and one brother, Malcolm Patterson of Marked Tree, Arkansas.
Mary is also survived by six grandchildren,
and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother, Harry; one sister, Helen Patterson; and one grandchild.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at Layton Cemetery in Yellville at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Donnie Hudson officiating. There will not be any visitation for Mrs. Dearmore.
